SUMMARY:Concert – Contemporary Jazz and Blues
DESCRIPTION:Brothers Matthew and Albert Fishteyn perform as Hit the Roof\, a drum and piano duo who reinvigorate old songs with a new twist. In this concert they will sample rock ‘n roll and New Orleans-style piano\, which has roots steeped in boogie-woogie\, gospel\, classical\, bluegrass\, country and funk. \nThe concert will last approximately one hour. This is the second date in the fall American Music Series\, which celebrates the history and variety of American music genres. \n  \nAbout the Performers\nMatthew Fishteyn\, piano\, is a classically trained musician who writes\, composes and produces music\, and Albert Fishteyn\, drums\, is a versatile performer who enjoys combining various rhythmic styles. \n
