Battlefield Tour—Revolutionary Charleston
December 5, 2025 @ 5:30 pm - December 6, 2025 @ 5:00 pm

Join us in Charleston, S.C., as we explore two important events of the American Revolution: the Battle of Sullivan’s Island and the Siege of Charleston. This two-day experience will include a Friday evening dinner and lecture at the Charleston Yacht Club given by independent historian Cordell Bragg discussing Gen. William Moultrie and the Battle of Sullivan’s Island, fought on June 28, 1776. The following day, guided tours led by historians Doug MacIntyre and Carl Borick will explore the various locations that encompassed the 1776 battle and the 1780 siege, including Fort Moultrie on Sullivan’s Island, where American forces defended against a formidable British naval bombardment; the Breach Inlet where Gen. Henry Clinton attempted to cross onto Sullivan’s Island with a body of British forces; various siege lines within the city that were constructed during the Siege of Charleston in 1780; as well as a visit to the Charleston Museum.
