Please note: This event was originally scheduled for October 1, but was postponed due to inclement weather.

Join us in Spartanburg, S.C., to explore the battles of Kings Mountain and Cowpens. This is a two-day experience that includes a buffet dinner and lecture at the 1881 Event Hall in Spartanburg, S.C., and a lecture given by Dr. Melissa Walker, professor emerita of history at Converse College, discussing the social, political, and military history of the southern backcountry that led to the battles of Kings Mountain and Cowpens. Accompanying the dinner and lecture, guided tours of Kings Mountain National Military Park and Cowpens National Battlefield the following day will closely examine the events that transpired during each engagement and explore the various combat locations that comprised them. The guided tours will be led by a National Park Service ranger who will join us for the day and include a box lunch.

Bus seating is limited to fifty-three attendees. Registration for this additional tour option is being honored on a first-come, first-serve basis and closes on Thursday, November 24.
